Pray without ceasing!

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Tells us “To pray without ceasing”, is that even possible? How does one stay in prayer in the midst of trouble, trials and tribulation. The answer is simple yet complex. You see the bible tells us, in advance, that we will face situations, it warns of the trials, becoming weary, overloaded with the cares and concerns of this world, at times unable to manage the circumstances that we will experience. Yet, in the center of this and much more, the word of God introduces the solution to our dilemmas. We are told to pray and not only to pray. But, to do so without ceasing. If you have ever found yourself, as most of us do at times, unable to fully grasp the concept of what it truly means to pray without ceasing, the “NIV Journey Bible” has an excellent article. It seems like the closest definition I have come by that clarifies what it means to Pray without ceasing. I’m sure that you may have come across other more definitive choses but I am sure you will agree that this summarizes what The Lord desires for and from us. When faced with circumstances beyond our control, remember that you as well as myself, are overcomers, strong and courageous people called with purpose and for God’s purpose. In the interim, the next time you find yourself uncertain of what to do, go on a marathon and Pray!
God Bless you as you read and pray.
